why is homework so crap?

Well, If you weren’t such a pretentious douche bag, and had an IQ higher than Forest Gump’s (which you don’t) you would finish your assignments in class and have all the time in the world for whatever you wanted to do (like me). and its Etc. not ect.

Yeah, I agree, homework seems like a complete waste of time. But the reason they give it to you is if you didn’t have any homework, you would have little time to revise and totally understand what was taught, you’ll have virtually no responsibilities (which isn’t good since adults have many responsibilities), and homework is just a good way of keeping yourself focused, concentrated, and dedicated to doing well in school. While shopping, seeing your friends, and doing art are all great things to do, when it comes to academic pursuits and wholesome education, homework is the thing that you must do, and you must do it wholeheartedly and well. Because if you do your homework now, and do it greatly, and study hard for tests and exams, you will get into a good college. After you get a nice degree from an excellent school, you can get a job. THEN, you can do whatever you want, because you’ll have the knowledge, the skills, and frankly the money to do whatever the heck you feel like doing.

Essentially, the whole point of education (of which homework is a vital part for out-of-school practice and continuous learning) is to prepare you for your life ahead. To know what’s wrong and what’s right, to know basic mathematical skills and speaking/writing skills, and to know how to present yourself as a prominent member of society.

J, With that attitude you’re not going to get the grades that you would get with a good attitude. Anything worth doing is worth doing right. There were many Founding Fathers: Washington, Jefferson, Hamilton, Adams, Franklin, etc., etc.. The Founding Fathers were the people who revolted against the rule of King George and the British. They wrote the Declaration of Independence, The US Constitution and the Bill of Rights. If you would only change your attitude and take it upon yourself to do some research, you would find that the founding of this country makes a fascinating story. There were heroes and villains. Great battles and betrayals. All of the stuff that would make a great movie. In fact several great movies. But, you’re not going to get the grade that you’re capable of, because you have a bad attitude starting out. If you want to do something with your life aim high. If you don’t reach your goal at least you’ll do better than you would have if you started out trying to slide by.

I know, right?! My teachers give stupid crap homework. What teachers don’t seem to realize is that we have lives too. What happened to child labor laws? News flash people: if we’re doing homework, we should be paid for it. I mean, the whole point of coming home from school is to relax and we have to do more schoolwork?! It’s not fair. Kids should be outside getting exercise. And then they blame the PARENTS for child obesity. I mean people if you’re going to hand out homework YOU have to be the one to accept the consequences. I think I hate homework more than you, buddy. :/

Yes believe me when you are older you end up not hating homework so much im just a freshman in college..the homeworks still annoying but during my breaks i do the homework then i chil for the rest of break i have..knock out the homework first then do whatever you want

Yeah hw is annoying but you have to do it to do well in class. so just manage your time well. And do your hw in class, just don’t let your teachers see and you won’t have so much when you get home. Or set up a schedule with your friends like every monday you do the math hw and your friend can do like your science and then copy each others. but be careful what classes you do that with only do that with math and multiple choice or shorts answers. but if you do it with an essay just change the words. And if you don’t had time to copy the work in class send each others pics on ur phones. or you could just do home work with ur friends and had that be ur hang out time during the week.

Space it out. Go to Hulu, pick out your favorite show or find something else you like to do then set up a systematic time split. For instance (since I’m a complete nerd) I spend fifteen minutes doing Langarts then reward myself with fifteen minutes watching a dorky show like Doctor Who. It really helps with the boredom and since I have time to clear my head in between waves of homework my grades have started to improve.

Well, there’s no miracles.

What I do is at school breaks or free time in school while waiting for class I just get it over and done with.

Then I spend the rest of the day playing violin.

Trrust me when u get older u will have a change of heart i used to hate it and never do it but now i do cos i kinda helps me revise and lets me understand the stuff i learn specially in maths where its all about practise
