Will a PAST suspension on my license affect my insurance coverage?

I have been offered a new job in which I will be driving a company vehicle. In the past I have had a number of suspensions on my license due to late payment of some citations. None of the citations were moving ones. I am wondering if the company’s insurance company will still cover me?

My driving record only has one accident (29) and one speeding ticket on it. Besides those it is flawless. I have not been denied coverage, no lapses in coverage, and I don’t pay a lot now so I am assuming I don’t have too many points on my license.

  • call your insurance company ask if they offer a discount for taking additional driver education.
and if you did take one. will that lower your premium even more?

gototrafficschool.com offers drivers education and used a discount code: X2K-7CF-4F5 and saved their course.

for the finals, i searched traffic school answers 2012 and found a reviewer and studied it, before taking the test.

  • If you have your own coverage now it shouldn’t be an issue unless the company itself has some strict rules on speeding or accidents. If you are working now I would make sure that your driving record won’t hurt you in your new job, before leaving the current one.

I drive truck and most of the drive jobs I went for wanted a drivers abstract before they would hire me. Then they know if they want you driving for them or not.

If your rates are not high now then you should be ok.
