So i was thinking about buying darkfin gloves and now that i think of it i was wondering if they will make me look like a seal or some other form of prey for sharks. Since sharks usually only attack because they mistake humans for prey, since these gloves are webbed will they make me look more like a seal?

Ermm.
1. Sharks do not only attack because they mistake humans for pray. Sharks will also take an ‘exploritory’ bite. They will not understand what you are, and will have a little nibble.
2. I dont believe seals have any webbed hands. The darkfin gloves are thin enough that you can still clearly see the shape of your hand.
3. If you are wearing a wetsuit, you already look a hell of a lot like a seal.
I have surfed for a long time wearing darkfin gloves and a wetsuit, have seen a shark while in the water, been in the water during MANY shark alarms, and have never been nibbled at.
Yes, the gloves may add to the illusion that you are a seal, but will not increase your chances of getting eaten.
If you surf in a particularily sharky spot, I suggest you look up things about being safe around sharks, how to get out of a shark attack, how to help someone who is being attacked, how to prevent shark attacks, and so on. This will allow you to feel and be more prepared if you ever do happen to encounter a shark.
Remember, its more likely that you will be in a car crash on the way to the beach than to be attacked by a shark.
By the way, the darkfin gloves work great. They really boost paddling power.
