Will I fit in United Airline’s Economy Seats?

I’ve never flown on United Airlines. I’m a very tall woman – 5’11” to be exact. I wear a size 22-24 pants. I will be flying from for several hours in the Economy seating (not Plus). The seating ranges from 17.2″ to 18.5″ in width. I’m so nervous about not being able to fit in the seats… I fit into Southwest Airline’s economy seating with no problem. Has anyone ever seen or been in this situation? My flight is coming up very soon.

I’m not a woman, but 6’0, and have been as heavy as 250lbs at one point. I’ve never had a problem with it, and I’ve had guys bigger than that seated next to me. The seat width does not vary from airline to airline – with 6 seats and an aisle in each row, there’s not a lot the can vary.

Economy seat sizes are pretty much all the same no matter what carrier you fly with.
