1993 ford explorer clutch issues?

my 1993 ford explorer is having some problems with the clutch i can get in it and the clutch is fine but after it gets all warmed up and ive been driving it all day the pedal gets soft …(NOT Spongy) just not as firm and ill have trouble getting it to shift into first and reverse i have to Push it hard for it to go into gear but when i pump the pedal it will get better and shift but the pedal stays soft and there aren’t any leaks anywhere..and i looked at my fluid and its a Deep Black color and i know thats not good BUT thats NOT the whole issue ..So if you could please help that would be great

  • Flush your brake fluid and replace with new.

    It’s quite obvious that your fluid is dirty and contaminated.

    This can cause the symptoms you’ve described.
