2005 Chrysler 300 3.5 overheating issue?

Hi I have a 25 chrysler 3 3.5 and I have rebuilt the engine almost new everything and I have replaced the water pump and the thermostat a couple of times and it still over heats. I don’t know what could cause it. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

  • Air in the cooling system. Needs to be burped by leaving cap off so it doesn’t build up pressure, drive slowly around your neighborhood and take a supply of coolant w/you. Stop periodically and add coolant. When it finally stops accepting coolant fill the reservoir to the line, again drive slowly and recheck coolant level.

Also, is it possible you reversed the thermostat so it is blocking coolant rather than opening and letting coolant circulate?
