5 month old Labrador Pees on the floor when I leave the house..?

Hi,

I have a 5 month old lab. She doesn’t do any accidents in the house and hasn’t done so for about a month now. But for the past couple of days every time a leave the house she pees on the floor. I dont leave her for long period of times. I generally do the sch where im out the house for 20-30 mins or to nip over the shop where im out for 10 mins. I always come back to pee on the floor,

I really don’t understand why she has started doing this. I always let her out before I leave, and she has plenty of toys etc.

Id like to add when she wets the floor it don’t seem to be a full wee, but a little wet patch!

Any advice please, I really need to sort this problem!

  • IT’S A 5 MONTH OLD PUPPY! Accidents happen. Let the dog out every 4 – 6 hours and you’ll be safe. (To house train you may well need to get up in the middle of the night.) Cages are good for house training as pup REALLY won’t want to go in such a confined space.

Another explanation is separation anxiety, which a cloaked (as in blanket thrown over the cage to remove light) will cure this as mutt will 9 times out of ten go to sleep.
