How was Civil Disobedience used by African Americans, Women, Vietnam Protesters, & other monority groups?

The ‘father’ of civil disobedience was Gandhi. He for example publicly put into fire special passports which had to have not white people in South Africa. M. L. King, feminists, hippies and the others used similar methods. They were continuators of Gandhi.
