If any man thinks it’s “expected” of him to protect anyone, than he’s got issues. Nobody has to protect anyone. But when they do, it should be because they WANT to. I’m a girl and I go into protection mode when I see someone is being mistreated in any way. And you know what? It’s not expected of me by anyone.. I expect it from myself.

I bust my *** like I always have to keep food on the table, a roof over our head, the lights on, money in the savings accounts and gas in the cars. I don’t complain at all.
