I’m currently 40 weeks and 4 days pregnant. I’ve had some random on and off pains for a few days now. I’ve been losing my mucus plug and had the bloody show. The mucus is tinged with pink quite a bit in the mornings and today it’s gotten more brown. I just lost a lot more if it and I noticed the tiniest, smaller than a tic tac sized blood clot. Is this normal? Just part of dilating and thinning? Does it mean labor will come soon? My water hasn’t broke yet and I haven’t felt any consistent contractions.

The signs you are experiencing are definite signs that labor will come soon. If anything your doctor will probably induce you if you go to the hospital. You are already 40 weeks and 4 days which means you are over the normal 38 week gestation period. Go ahead and go to the hospital so they can monitor your baby 🙂 Also since your mucus plug has already passed its best for you to be in the hospital to prevent any infections in case your water does break.
