We use water based but it dries out fast so is it ok to use oil based lub and if not why is that? Thanks!

I was told that anything that is “safe” to use during sex before pregnancy is safe now. I asked because we use baby oil on occasion, and my Dr said it was fine.
Oil based lubes should never be used internally. They can cause irritation and interfere with the PH balance in the vagina encouraging bacteria growth, making you more open to infections. This is especially not something you want while pregnant. Oil lubricants also stain almost every fabric and ruin anything latex.
