I have two kids and my ex wife and I are on good terms. We want to be divorced but each time I go to the court and do it on my own, they always tell me I filled it out incorrectly and have to come back. My work schedule conflicts with the court hours. Is it a lot more when children are involved? I asked one place and they said $7.

If you and your wife are on good terms, there’s no reason you couldn’t hire a paralegal to fill out the paperwork and split the cost.
The paralegal can fill it out for you to file, or for an extra charge can file it themselves.
It really depends on what state you are in. If they said $7 then that is their fee.
