  • Priorities in that situation: People, pets, and pictures. First rescue your family members who can’t save themselves. If that’s not a problem, save your cat or dog. If you have no pets, grab your money (pictures of dead presidents!) or your photo album.

    But firstety first, if you actually live in an earthquake zone, do thorough research about earthquake preparedness. There’s a lot of material on the Internet on that topic.

  • If my family and pets are ok, I would probably take my laptop.

    Not much emotional attachment to it, and it wasn’t hugely expensive, but I use it about 24/7, so I’d be able to just grab it and run.

  • My dog because she means more to me than the things I own because you can replace all that other stuff but you can’t replace your pet plus she wouldn’t be able to protect herself in that type of situation. What would you take? (:
