Are text message and voice mail can be a proof of verbal abuse/ harassment?

My ex husband that I divorced almost a year ago ( we have 2 kids together) likes sending a threatening text message and voice mail, using the worst cussing words, calling me names every time we have an argument. Recently I am seeing somebody and he even does worst things like threatening to hurt my boyfriend if he ever sees him in person. Example of one of his texts: I’m glad ur stupid *** boyfriend with u, cause he has my sloppy seconds… It was hurtful and I just want this to stop and move on with my life. Please help with any advice. Thanks

  • Yes, voice mail and texts can be used as evidence, in either court proceedings or for the obtainment of an Restraining Order. Tlak to the local police and find out what you need to do to take it further.
