Are there really ancient depictions of dinosaurs?

“There is much evidence in Asia [of dinosaurs coexisting with humans], on Cambodian temple (? was it), on a lot of South American stones, etc., even in the book of Job, an eyewitness account – of humans living in the past while many kinds of dinosaur also existed.

Why the atheist rejects all such clear and present evidence, even an Egyptian hieroglyph with such a depiction – can only be because it would seriously undermine their beliefs and paradigm.”

  • I would say that monsters such as Griffin are ancients depictions based on fossils. There are birds, which are a type of dinosaur, coexisting with humans. There isn’t any scientific evidence of any terrestrial dinosaurs living past 65 million years ago. South America has Mapinguary stories but those are supposed giant Sloths that are believed to have gone extinct less than 10 thousand years ago so it isn’t as big a stretch for some of them surviving in the jungles in small numbers. I am a skeptic until I see more convincing evidence.

  • No there are not. Contrary to what you claim, there is NO evidence whatsoever anywhere in the world of humans co-existing with non-avian dinosaurs. it would be physically impossible. The “monsters” of ancient accounts were generally whales, giant squid, crocodiles, hippos, komodo dragons and other animals that we do know existed since humans came on the scene and are still around today, In some cases (especially in China and in ancient Greece) people found fossilized skeletons of dinosaurs and other extinct ancient beasts and invented myths about the animals as if they still lived.

We know that all the dinosaurs, except some tiny ones that evolved into modern birds, dissappeared from Earth 65 million years ago. Humans in any form have only been on Earth for less than 4 million years. Biblical tales and Cambodian myths of imaginary beasts are fantasy, not science or fact.

All the supposed “evidence” that creationists try to present otherwise has been repeatedly proven to be either false or a complete misinterpretation of the facts. It’s a shame that people are still so gullible and fail to check out their ludicrous claims.

Being religious or not has nothing to do with understanding science and the documented age of the Earth and the time frames for the various species that lived on it.

It’s sad that anyone old enough to post on here (you have to be at least 13) has not had sufficient Science education to know the basics of geologic time and the various epochs. Have you been homeschooled or “educated” at one of those pathetic so-called “Christian” schools? I’m afraid it is your own “beliefs and paradigms” that appear to be threatened by the reality of deep geotime and the sequential evolution of species, which is, by the way, accepted as overwhelmingly documented truth by more than 99% of all educated people in the world. You are wallowing in a mudhole of backward religious ignorance.

  • No there isn’t “much evidence” of such things.

The dinosaur Egyptians are drawing is alligators.

You’re claiming that dinosaurs were alive in historic times.

  • Of ACTUAL, REAL dinosaurs?

    No.

There are depictions of all sorts of imaginary beings — horses with wings; giant reptiles; people with more than one head, or dozens of arms.

LOL, Job is an eyewitness account? LOL

    Clear and present evidence? LOL

The fact that, say, Chinese art has dragons, doesn’t make them REAL.

  • Asian dragons are definitely not consistent with dinosaurs.

There are carved stones depicting dinosaurs in South America, also depicting heart transplants and space ships, but they are recently made and artificially aged. You can get them carved to order.

Biblical references to Leviathan and Behemoth are to known living animals, not to dinosaurs.

  • Well, there is possibility they were some ancient gigantic lizards that have lived up to our times.
