Are year 10 mock exams really important?

I did a physics mock exam yesterday and I felt like I did soo badly! I ran out of time and ended up having to leave 3 pages!!! I think I’ve completely failed it 🙁 although I know they’re mocks and they don’t really count towards anything. I took triple science aswell and I keep getting low grades for physics. I’m okay with chemistry and I’m actually pretty good at Biology. My physics teacher probably thinks I’m so dumb as I keep doing badly – i don’t like my physics teacher though :/
But i am in a class with really clever people so it always feels like a lot of pressure on me to do well, and because I’m so shy, i just never feel confident, also, my predicted grades have always been fairly high for science but I don’t want them to lower them and think i can’t achieve it because I can! 🙂

But would it be so bad if i did bad in physics but well in biology and okay in chemistry? And I’m really worried because apparently they predict your grades from these mocks but I think it’s stupid because in the real exams, I’m obviously naturally going to work a lot harder because i know they’re important! I’m just annoyed because I know all my friends will do really well in them, but my laziness and shyness lets me down and I don’t want this to affect how well I do in life 🙁

    They are really important.
I just did 2 maths mocks and got a really good score in both of them which I am proud of!! So yes they are really important they let the teachers know what you are stuck on and they will help you to get better grades.

    They are REALLY important.

When you apply for 6th Form/College/first job mock results are what you’ll give – as the real results won’t be available then – and they will determine your future.
