Batting tips?????????????????

I’m just looking for another way to help make better contact. What I try to do now is “throw” my wrists at the ball and let the bat come around. It works well. Also, I try as much as possible to keep my weight back. Is there anything else that could help me have better contact and more power? Thanks.

  • Twist your wrists so your knuckles are facing north instead of east and west. My friends baseball coach told him this to help him with power and it worked for him and I

  • Something the great Ted Williams always did was, use the lightest bat that is legal in your respective league. It gives you that split second of extra time to watch the pitch before choosing whether or not to swing at it. Hitting the weights will bring the power back that you lose with a lighter bat. Still stay back with your weight and of course don’t swing for the fences. If you learn to stay back and wait for your pitch the power will come with it.

  • Mmmh well try stepping before u swing so ur not just using ur arms ur using all the muscles in ur back and stuff, also a good practice is throwing the ball up and hitting it.. It good practice to keep ur eye in the ball. And always weight lifting of course helps get more power also in practice you can hit with a heavier bat so in games or whatever the lighter bat u can swing faster!

  • You need to focus and have the best attitude possible. If you believe in yourself and think that you can hit the ball, then you can do it. Yes there are certain techniques, but remember the most important… to keep your eye on the ball and have a level swing. Remember quick to it, long through it meaning contact to the ball should be short and compact, but your follow through should be long and exaggerated.
