Can I not mention a previous college I attended in my College Application?

Okay this is the Situation:

I just finished my Junior year and I just found out I am being kicked out due to having a cumaltive GPA of . for the Last three semesters. I transfered to my Current school from my Previous college where I had a cumulative gpa of .. I had a really hard time focusing on school due to problems with family and illness. I am applying for Some new colleges for the upcoming fall semester and I was wondering if I could just leave out my current college because of my . gpa and just mention my previous .. I know this is lying but I really am not a bad student, its just been really tought and I want a second chance. So basically I would like to know if I can just mention my first college and leave out my current college from my college applications. Thank you for your help

  • NO — because lying in this environment is FRAUD & can get you kicked to the curb (even in mid-semester & owing back all the money to pay for everything for that semester) as well as possibly criminally charged (if lying also helped you get Fin Aid)

It is very easy for them to find the info… especially if you were on Fin Aid.. they will see the history of your Fin Aid use — even if you did not use Fin Aid, schools have shared data bases & can see where you have been enrolled in the past

in addition to being kicked out of school for FRAUD on your application…. there will be an indication.. a permanent mark…. that other schools as well as all future potential employers will see…. that you were guilty of FRAUD… how many jobs do you think you will get with FRAUD on your record?

In your mind this is just a little lye that would help you get a fresh start… when in reality is it a life-changing epically bad decision

  • You have to tell them. If you receive Financial Aid and the school doesn’t know about your previous GPA, that could count as fraud. Also, you are suppose to tell them about your previous school (doesn’t matter if you did well there or not). Sorry

  • This type of fraud can cause your degree to be revoked even years after it is granted.

    Don’t do it.
