Can you recommend an ointment, lotion or bath soap for a 4 year old child?

Whenever my daughter is bitten by an insect, it leaves marks or scar….so it is so obvious on her skin though she is brown complexion. It worries me much. She has a tendency to scratch roughly when its itched. thank you

Update:

are the witch hazel or calamine lotion available over the counter at drug stores or baby section? thank you

  • You can always use witch hazel and calamine lotion. Both are for bug bites and the witch hazel will help tone the skin. The calamine lotion with definitely dry it out enough where she won’t scratch too much.

EDIT: Yes, they are available over the counter. You’ll find them at a drug store and the pharmacy department of a lot of stores.

  • When she’s bitten by an insect, put Cortizone on it to make the itch go away http://www.cortizone10.com,/ and after the bite has gone away, if there’s still a scar, put vitamin E on it once a day using a vitamin E stick to make the scar fade http://www.beneficialbotanicals.com/products/v-MED… If you need a good lotion I’d recommend Aveeno, and for a bath soap, the Aveeno body wash http://www.aveeno.com./

    Good luck 🙂

  • you can use the baby version cocoa butter. I think that is very mild.
