OK so I’m in boxing and don’t mind doing all the training,working out etc but what I do hate more than anything is running. I just become so bored about the idea of just running an running an I always avoid doing it,but is it possible to just replace it with playing basketball, you still run except its more enjoyable and your in it to win it?

It is probably possible if you can maintain the same required minimum heart rate as you would have by running.
What are you planning to do in boxing? Is this a hobby? Do you want to be a Golden Glove winning fighter? Are you just boxing to gain confidence or for self-defense?
In any case, Learn to love running. Boxing and running go hand in hand, so grab those running shoes and hit the pavement. You have to put the road work in. One aspect of having a fighting mentality is making yourself do things you don’t want to, Like eating right, and Yes, RUNNING.
Playing Basketball won’t replace it, But it will most certainly supplement it.
nothing will replace running and jogging for cardio stregnth & endurance or calorie burning
it is the best and most effective method of staying fit
