  • You get stuck?? NO, because they do not have a key. If people lose their key, or do not pay, there is a hefty fee for the bank to drill out the lock.

You have to personally get it out and take it to the new lock box you rented.

  • The bank will ONLY move safe deposit boxes if they cease offering the boxes at the current location. Due to the STRUCTURE of the boxes, it is NOT POSSIBLE to move an individual box without opening the box.

  • Only you can take things from, or put things in your safe deposit box. The bank will NOT do any xfers of anything in it. They couldn’t do that even if they wanted to. You have the only key.

  • You got both answered. If you are going to travel, you can always buy traveler checks. What you do not use, you can go back into the bank and they will cash them for you at no cost.
