I know that Dale Jr raced several races with his dad. Did Jr. ever win a nascar race that he and his father were in? Was there ever a first and second place between the two of them at a race?

Jr had two cup wins while Sr was active, plus the 20 all-star race in which he put the bumper to his dad on the way by. They never ran 1-2.
He beat his dad at Texas which was his first win, and two other times, includin’ his first All-Star Race (then the Winston) in 20. I was a NASCAR viewer when Jr. raced with his dad, so I, too know he raced with him. They never were 1-2 in NASCAR, just that IROC race. He was in second, just ahead of his dad at the end of the ’01 Daytona 5. I can only name two drivers that qualified to be in the All-Star Race as rookies but one couldn’t run it ’cause he was sick :(, btw. He ran it the next year, though 🙂
Michael is right about the two wins and the win at the All Star in 20. But wrong about them finishing 1-2. They did in 1999 in an IROC race at Michigan. The came down to the line side by side bumping each other for the win.
Well his 1st win at Texas in the NSCS is one of those times. Never a 1, 2 finish between them that I could recall.
Think he won in a race at Texas and his Dad was in that race. Not sure about the 1st and 2nd place
win for them.
Yes he did finnish ahead of his dad , and no first and Second .
