  • From what I have observed, Orthodox are much more likely to keep kosher with Reform much less likely to, while Conservative falls somewhere in the middle. In practice it seems like Conservative and Reform tend to keep kosher to a degree, in other words, they may keep kosher at home but may not have a problem eating at a restaurant that is not kosher, or eating at a friends house who does not keep a kosher kitchen. Actual level of observance varies from one individual to the next.

Not Jewish, most of my actual experience is with Conservative Judaism although I have been around both Reform and some Orthodox. From what I have seen of Conservative Judaism there is an expectation that the Rabbi will be highly observant while individual members of the congregation tend to be a lot less observant.

Added: I have a friend on another website that identifies as “observant Reform”. For her this means she doesn’t eat treif on Shabbos. Presumably she doesn’t think much of kosher the rest of the week.

  • Yes, yes, and maybe (because you said “all”).

Reform does not require keeping kosher, but many do. I’m a Reform Jew and I keep kosher.

Conservative and Orthodox Jews are required to keep kosher. You’d have to ask each one individually to know if they actually do or not.

  • Some reform Jews follow some of the kashrut rules, but I suspect very few. Most orthodox follow them – that’s one of the characteristics of being orthodox. The rules are much more stringent than many people realize.
