Does the phrase "beast of burden" include women in it?

If it doesn’t, I think it should.

  • “beast of burden n. , pl. , beasts of burden . An animal, such as a donkey, ox, or elephant, used for transporting loads or doing other heavy.” doesn’t sound like a man or a woman, specifically.

Or, if you were talking about some other phrase, do clarify.

    Good Luck! 🙂
