Do you shop at Big Lots?

I have not been to one in a while, they closed the one near me, but I used to shop in there for Christmas gifts especially. I did some shopping at TJ Maxx recently and got some good bargains on designer jeans for under $20 there, also at the mall (I was pretty surprised) at Macy’s and JC Penney some really nice sweaters for under $20. The Hickory Farms store had a pretty good sale on cheeseballs too, I think I got $3 off, and the dollar store had wrapping paper for 99 cents (that must have been the save a penny sale, haha). Famous Footwear had some great deals on shoes and boots, I bought four pair a few weeks ago, and if Macy’s would have had my size I would have been doing the new shoe dance again tonight in a really hot pair of black leather motorcycle boots with cool straps and buckles and studs on them. Seven and a half was just not quite big enough for my size eight feet, and that was the biggest they had 🙁

Hmmm, maybe I will go to Woodfield tomorrow, the Macy’s is bigger at that mall – they were really really cool boots……

Yes, several times a year. Don’t go there expecting to find a specific item, you’ll be disappointed. I would not recommend buying food items. Most of those will be updated. But if you go to just browse, you might find some good bargains. I enjoy it, but only when I have time to shop and not looking for anything in particular. Good luck and happy shopping!

I don’t have a Big Lots but when I was living at home, Mom and I use to go several times a year.

We would make a list of Birthday cards etc that we would need throughout the year and buy all of our greeting cards at one time. Always buying a few for unexpected occurrences. Their cards are really nice and very good prices.

I also remember getting a nice lamp from Big Lots for a fraction of the regular price.

I love Big Lots! When we lived in Reno/Sparks, I would go several times a month. It’s kind of like Christmas morning – you never know what the “new” items are going to be. Living here in WA now, no Big Lots in our town! Bummer!

Yes, they have the best priced toys. Always a good place to get Toys for Tots! Good for you!!!!

The Mrs. and I just started our shopping on Sunday. We hit Macy’s, Best Buy, Wally World, Body & Bath to name a few. We still need another day to finish up. I’m the shopaholic and love hitting the stores hunting for deals! Can’t wait to go back for round two 🙂

I love that store! I always check it out every few weeks…they do have great deals, and it is a great place to buy the toys!

I don’t think we have Big Lots in my area. My son is easy, Best Buy, bought him Tony Hawk Ride, looks fun, I will try it but I will probably end up breaking my leg or something..lol…Just glad I only have one child, things are expensive

I have been there is the past, but the closest one is 35 miles away. So I don’t go there very often.
