Hi, how to ask person how long he works here (he is still working there)? How long have you worked there? Thank you for your help ^^

  • If you are where he works, you ask, “How long have you worked here?”

    If you and the person are somewhere else, you ask, “How long have you worked there?”

  • 1)How long have you worked there?

    2)How long have you been working there?

    Both are OK. Differences so slight it doesn’t really matter which you use.

    1) the person started work in the past and still works there at the time of speaking.

    2) probably implies that the person still works there and will continue to work there for some time to come.

  • This requires the present perfect progressive

    How long have you been working here

  • “How long have you worked here?” (use present perfect)
