everything connects to my wifi network but my macbook?

hi, i have a router with a wep key.

i connects successfully my android tablet, samsung phone and ipod touch to the network and internet. but my macbook wont work with the network. when i type in the password it shows that apparently is connected to the router but it has no internet connection, and also says that the ip address was automatically generated…

i tried replacing the ip of the macbook with the one of my devices but it didn’t work. i really have no idea of whats happening, do i need a a special config?

this is my wep key 45413932433246423734333643

  • WEP key means nothing in this situation

was it a 169 ip? if it is that means the computer didn’t get a real IP address. . If it starts with 192, you got an IP from the router. If you have a router, you may need to check the network settings under DHCP or automatic (make sure it’s the settings for the wifi(airport?), not hard wired part of it. Restart the router too.

If that doesn’t work you could look up how to reinstall/reset TCP/IP on the mac.

  • ok attempt to pass community possibilities on your macbook and attempt to do away with any previous settings then attempt lower back. If not attempt to configure your stay container and alter WEP to the WPA2 PSK and notice if that facilitates. sturdy success
