FBI Good career choice?

Hello, for years I wanted a career choice, and I think I want to join the FBI, either assist them with Cyber Crimes or become a Agent.

I know it’s not like the shows on TV, if it was, I wouldn’t be asking this question, I am dead serious about this, please don’t waste my time with dumb answers.

I am currently in the 9th Grade, but I want to know what to major in what should I excel in, thanks again.

  • Yes, this is a good career choice. I glad you are researching this vocation BEFORE you jump into it.

Check out the website that previous-poster “Reena” told you about.

I was told once, by a FBI agent, that THE best way to get into the FBI is to be a CPA. The demand for CPAs by the FBI is high.

So major in Mathematics. If they have any bookkeeping, accounting courses at your school, take those.

    Good luck.

  • My friend is in the FBI and has done some amazing things. To join the FBI you need to go to college and you also need to get a master’s degree. My friend has a masters in economics. If you want to work on the technical side then you should focus on computer science and in particular computer forensics. You will also need to pass a very rigorous background check so if this is something you really want to do you have to stay out of trouble – that means no drugs, don’t get caught drinking underage, duis, etc. Keep track of every job you have, your employer’s name and their contact information. You’ll need that info later on.
