Forms of social control?

i have to discuss this in my essay but i dont understand:

-discuss forms of social control by consent and forms of social control by coercion, in relation to:
a) going to school
b) doing homeowrk
c) helping a neighbor
d) participating in a neighbourhood clean up campign

going to school you might have to queue for a bus you may well consent to this common procedure but in China they dont queue and just push on and the driver closes the door when they feel it is full enough and if you dont push you dont get on the bus. So queuing or not is socially proscribed.
Homework is part of the school work that you contract to do alone there will be punishments if it isnt done so you cant negotiate this control
Love yur neighbour as yourself is a central tenet of all faiths and humanism too so its a tenet we have to find a realtionship to for ourselves – no one will think ill of us if we dont have anything to do with our neighbours so it is one of those personal choice issues. Participating in a clean up again is your own choice unless you have a very active community.
