Has the cricket sector always been troll infested?

It seems to be getting worse or has it always been bad? I found Ben Dover extremely funny, his trolling was rather epic. But other trolls in this sector are just pointless. Indian warrior for example, writing the same thing every time, how dull must your life be to sit behind a computer writing the same thing every time. Or the other idiot who writes Sangaykkara every time, don’t people have lives or jobs?

Has it always been this bad?

  • I have also been here for a long time and once to my surprise had TC badge when 27 ICC WC was held. There were a few novice from my country who would come here in dozens to holler in bad English to draw attention of the users of whatever achievement our players could get.

    These acts of our Bangladeshi youngsters would better be called as mischievous rather than troll though to any unsuspecting users it would appear like a troll from BD.

    In a few times we found out that users from India and Pakistan would use BD-ID to insult each others as if the 3rd party (BD) is doing the dirty-job. As a result people would come in pack from both India and Pakistan to attack our country and its players.

    Take another example of someone made an account using the ID and picture of “Raf Pragmatic” (the counterfeit had the ID picture a bit hazy, not as clear as the original Raf Pragmatic) and engaged in Q&A in a manner that would draw insult to the original Raf Pragmatic, the original guy protested a few times but failed to draw any sympathy from the regular users to weed-out the counterfeit ID.

    In my humble opinion I would suggest that the job of ‘cleaning’ this Cricket forum would be on the Users as well as on the Y!AT. Report the Trolls and Abusers who are routinely violating the community guidelines of Y!A and the ToS of Yahoo!

    Now in answer to your first question, let me say that it wasn’t always like this “troll infested” Cricket sector when the forum was opened initially. The champion will be the R&S category where India-Pakistan warlike fights would start whenever there is Christian or Muslims or the Atheists would ask or answer a question to the best of their belief and care.

    Btw, have you ever been disturbed by the display of disgusting ID pictures? If so, then why not report and get decency prevail in that criteria too? I hope Y!AT will be listening to these issues.

  • People like half drained boy and CJ are trouble maker war monger people, who come regularly to transfer their personal unsatisfaction from life to the cricket section. On other side Cricket is about peace, love and brotherhood. Racist bigotry and hatred will give you breast cancer. I pray peace and love to you, my brother.

  • I am here since late 29 and I’ve never seen this section free of trolls. One goes another comes. MBTM, Wayne Kerr and Psycho Singh were not bad. Mr. Over is really a GOOD TROLL.
