How are the planets hold in their orbit ?

theres a force between the sun and the planets which helps them to get hold in their orbits. theres, ofcourse a force between them to be able to stay still there. since the sun and the other planets pull each other on the space they are able to stay and rotate on their orbit. the sun is too big than the planets nd even some planets are bigger than the other. then. how is the force of pulling/attraction btwn then is equal. if the force was not equal between them, werent they supposed to either collide with each other or get pulled up by the sun and get burned ??

whats the difference btwn gravity and gravitation ?

Nothing. they are the same thing

and gravity as well as momentum of the planets is what keeps them in place

It’s called gravity. I’d have thought you’d have learned that in grade school.

Planets don’t stay still. Not at all.

Basically, the planets are moving so quickly that they fall around the sun. There’s no air in space to slow the planets down. So they just keep on falling around.

THe planets are stayed in their Orbit there are 2 Forces involved which are combined called Centripental Force. The 1st one is Gravitational Force which attracts the planet to move inside but there is another Force Resisting the Movement The Mass OF planet THE INERTIA due to which there is tug of war between Gravitational Force and Inertia But when These balanced they Remain in their Orbit. Also dont Forget the Planets have to move faster to stay in their orbit (MORE CLOSE MORE FASTER & vice versa)
But Dont worry the planets are going to end in some billion yrs as the Sun is Losing mass so as the Gravitational Force.

Easy the Gravity is the force that is attracting the bodies to earth I.E the Gravitational Force of Earth
wheras the Gravitation or Gravitational Force is the Force due to which objects having mass or attracted to Each other
