How can I make a picture print out as "x"?

So for art, we have to print a picture to use as reference, but it has to be “x” bc we’re gonna have to draw a grid over it, & make it twice as big on another sheet, using a grid that’s twice as big, but I don’t know how to resize a picture to be “x”.

  • The easiest thing to do would be to just print out your picture, and measure x afterwards on your paper.

Paste it on a word document, and print it out. Cut out a x rectangle from a blank sheet of paper, trace it onto your picture. Or you can just draw the x on the picture directly.

Your picture might not fit exactly onto the x rectangle. It doens’t matter. Be an artist, figure out the composition, and choose the section of the picture that you want to include in your x.

If your picture is smaller then x then just don’t use it. Making a smaller picture bigger will lose resolution. (Unless you want to spend money at Kinkos to have it professionally resized).

  • Resize it & use inches, not pixels, as your unit of measure; crop (if needed) to get your ” x “.
