My gym teacher told us for our final exam we had to run the mile in 7 minutes in order to get an A ( which I think is ridiculous because in my opinion as long as you give it your best effort you should get an A ).The final is about 3 weeks off and he just told us Friday. So today I started to train and I ran the mile in 8 minutes and 20 seconds. Is that good for my first time? Can you give me any tips on how to achieve my goal. I’m 15 if that helps any.

It will be hard in 3 weeks and will take a lot of effort, especially on the final test. I suggest that you do a little bit of running in longer distances, 2-4 miles at a time. Also, you should do some interval training, which is jogging for a bit, and then doing a little sprinting, then repeat. This is very good for strengthening your hear.
That is not a ridiculous time at all (the seven minute mark). You are going to have to run every day (not nec. the full mile) with a break day or two every week until you run. Learn proper running form, and keep that up for the mile. I wouldn’t mess around to much with how to run the actual mile. Just push yourself as hard as you can but at a steady pace. you dont want to sprint and walk.
Day by day gradually increase your speed until you reached your goal! And yes that is good for your first time, my first mile time was 10 minutes hahaha!
Move your legs faster.
wow, that is ridiculous…. just run as fast as you possibly can (:
