How dangerous is it for Denny Hamlin to start at Talladega?

How will the team handle this situation? Will it be after the few laps or at the first caution? Since 20 Talladega has been run caution free twice. It might be highly unlikely but could happen.

  • I’m not his Dr, I don’t know if it’s safe? Is any nascar race safe. ?

I watched the Arca race, this afternoon, they are almost as fast as na$car?

that was a preview, of na$car.

Milka Duno won the pole? She can’t even finish an Indy car race?

Now that her boyfriend died, I was surprised she still had a ride?

    I hope Denny does well.

Not a Hamlin fan but not a hater either.

    Big fan of Gibbs.

i wish all of them a safe race.

  • Denny will be fine. Doctors are very, very strict when it comes to this kind of stuff; if he were in real danger, his doctor would certainly tell him to stay out of the car, and I’m sure Denny would listen.

I honestly have no idea what their plans are. I assume that it will depend on how the cautions fall; if a caution happens on lap 10, I don’t see him coming out, but it they go 40+ percent of the race before getting a caution, I believe he will likely come out.

I really doubt we will see anything near a caution free race this year. I fear that this is going to be a wreck fest. These cars get crazy at high speeds in the draft.

  • While I haven’t heard any plans, it wouldn’t surprise me to see him drop to the back before the green flag (that’s happened before), run a lap, and come in for relief. There’s plenty of time to do the driver change, and even if they go a lap down, they’re in a decent position to catch the Lucky Dog.

  • I expect him to start the race and be relieved at the first caution which would give him the points. He will be OK as long as he is not involved in a wreck.

  • I’ve seen guys’ career end in accidents under caution.

I’d say it’s stupid. This is the track that anything can happen

    at any time.

Risk/Gain ratio… not worth it, imo.

  • He is just so giddy to get back In that seat. He needs to calm down and wait till Darlington if you ask me. He can get taken out and taken out hard quick and fast at Talladega and hurt his back even more.

  • Should be fine, as long as he stays out of the big one, stays rubber side down and out of the catch fence, not to mention hitting the inside wall after all that at 2 MPH.

  • Some whatr risky but nt much more than any other driver

an acident can happen at anytime and bad things can happen to any driver

  • Talledega is known for wrecks so I’m worried about him. I think he’s starting too early. He should have waited until next week.

  • I agree with Dan. It’s not worth it.
