im hoping to renew my vows in the next few years and was wondering what you or a friend, family member did to renew? we want to do it on the beach and with a few close family members and friends. ideas???

My husband and I are going to make it an intimate affair when we go overseas on a European cruise trip. We’re wanting to renew our vows in an old Anglican church in Ireland and hire a professional photographer. We’re renewing our vows on our fifth year anniversary because I went into the military and was rushed by my naval advisor to get married as soon as possible in order to get paperwork done in time, so it was a spontaneous marriage done at the county clerks office with cheap $20. silver rings. Now that we’re more settled in, we want to solidify our vows in a church for our own personal reasons.
As for you, I think doing it at the beach is a great idea! Just remind them that this isn’t a wedding and not to bring gifts; this is just a ceremony where you and your significant other want to celebrate your marriage and renew your vows. Some people frown on the renewal of vows as ‘re-living’ their wedding, which isn’t the case at all!

Were renewing our vows for our 10th wedding anniversary. Were going with a very simple, yet very romantic evening. Lots of candles, dimly lit room. Just alot of romance.
