how do i change a plug on my new shotgun?

  • Remove barrel, turn upside down, shake.

  • You mean the tube. There is a plug in the tube that keeps the capacity limited for hunting. How to remove said plug varies by gun but you usually have to at least remove the barrel. What else is involved I cannot say as you don’t give the particulars (at the time I saw this question).

  • On the mossberg 5 you unscrew the barrel and load 3 shells in the tube then pull it out.

    I actually got mine and took the barrel off to get the plug and it fell out,but when I put it back I had to load some shells to get it out.

    It could be different with your gun,I want to say the remington 870 is the same way,not sure though
