  • when you connect your camera to the PC and have it on, open WMM. then on the left side under Movie Tasks, Select Capture from Device and follow the prompts on what device and where to save the file.

also, here is a step by step directions on using and connecting.. straight from MS.

    1) Connect your video camera to your computer

  • First you should transfer your videos from Kodak c182 digital camera to your computer, then using a right converter to convert your videos to WMV which supported by Windows Movie Maker. I have used RZ Video Converter which gone on well on my computer, it can convert any videos or audios between different formats, such as convert any videos to WMV, etc. You can try it by yourself. Yahoo or google search and download it, hope it can catch your interesting and help you.

  • I believe capture from Device mans “live” video. Either way you know how you hook up your camera or the memory card to the PC and the PC sees it as a Removable Media or the Sort? Ok- In WMM you are going to use Import- JUST like you would ANYTHING

Youwill see your cameras Memory as a HD or Removable Media of the sorts. I linked you to a lame mans videos of How-To . He doesnt speak over you and shows you word for word how to use WMM.
