My cat has recently been giving me looks as if i was retarded and it’s really making me lose self esteem. I’ve tried juggling for him and singing , even dancing ( although i’m not good at any of these ) , and my cat just keeps giving me the same look. Not even catnip as a bribe works, and I’m starting to take the back door when I leave or enter just so I don’t have to see him look at me with such disappointing. Please what should I do to impress my cat???

On a (slightly) more serious note, remember, you are not the owner in this scenario; you are the pet. The cat keeps you around for feeding, petting, and entertainment. Just… be yourself, and pay attention to the cat’s needs. He’ll get used to you soon enough.
A point: staring is a challenge for cats. If he’s trying to stare you down, he’s trying to establish dominance over you. So either out-stare him, or pick him up and hold him a moment to remind him who’s bigger. (No need to be cruel about it, just cuddle him for a couple seconds and let him go.)

You can’t. Cats are the supreme being and will always look down on you. Dogs have people, but cats have staff. It is your jobs to entertain, feed, clean, care, cuddle, and obsess over them. There is no way around this once you have enlightened yourself with the presence of a cat, maybe try giving him a massage or serving him on a silver platter. Try distracting him with one of those carefully manufactured, hand-crafted feather toys from those cat-supply temple in your local town that only the highest of cats are are priveledged to play with. That will surely impress him some and improve your image in his eyes.

Cats are very wise and smart and clowning around might impress a baby or something but not a cat. Not even if it is a kitten. You have to be yourself and the caqt will observe your behavior and eventually learn to like it. Cats can see fake.
Create special cat sushi only using the ingredients of smoked salmon with caviar rolled inside. 😉 Just sayin’
