How do i make a old surf board look new?

Okay, well the surf board isn’t for me personally even though i am considering getting one myself. Anyways my boyfriend use to enjoy surfing, but when he relocated he had to get rid of his old surf board. He wants a new one for this upcoming Summer, but money is tight for him so, yes i am deciding to purchase him a old one, but wanting to make it look new again. However, i need some help on how exactly to make the board look new, and how to spray paint with designs. If anyone know the step by step of doing that, and all the material that is needed i’ll greatly appreciate it..it’ll be a surprise for him so i’m excited. Thanks

  • I suggest that instead of buying an ‘old’ board just because its cheap, that you keep looking. There are plenty of second hand newish boards that you wont need to spice up at all and will be just as cheap.

Old boards are super cheap for a reason-because they are old. They will have cracks and dings and will be yellow with age, and there is no way to fix that without spending at least a hundred EXTRA dollars,

  • You might need to re-glaze the board if it has any dings or cracks in it. But before you glaze it give it a cool design, let that dry then do it. Thats all I can think of right now.

  • Clean off the wax and repair the dings
