How do I make sure things aren’t awkward after the party we went to?

So after prom I went to an after party with friends..

Everyone was drunk and/or high…it was just a crazy night…don’t feel like going into detail…but how can make sure things aren’t awkward when I see this one specific friend…we already had, let’s say…weird-ish friendship…

I have classes with her. Today I saw her for like 10 seconds in the hall. Her eyes were bloodshot red, when she saw me she looked embarrassed and like she didn’t want me to see her…but I said hi and she said hi back but seemed nervous, bashful…

Then I ran into her again and she asked me about something, but you could feel that “vibe” there…

Tomorrow (and for the rest of the school year) I have classes with her and I sit directly beside her so I don’t want things to be awkward 🙂

  • I would say just don’t bring it up! Unless she wants to talk about it. Give her some space, but don’t let her go. If she seems scared, insecure, or nervous, maybe she just isn’t proud of what she has done, or maybe she just feels ashamed. Make sure you make her feel welcome and accepted. Talk to her, but don’t push or pressure. If she seems scared or nervous don’t surround her, or have a group of people around her.
  • i think there is a Saved By The Bell episode that covers this.
