  • Pretty much drain and refill. You could hire a company to run your water through a demineralization resin bed, but it’s pricey. RO would take forever. Both methods would cost more than the water for drain and refill.

  • Realistically drain and refill is your only option unless you’re willing to pay through the nose!

    But more to the point is how to prevent the same situation occurring again?

    Your best option is to invest in a pool filter. There are three main types to opt for:-

    Diatomaceous Earth – very high quality filter but pricey and hard to clean.

    Sand filters – cheap & easy to maintain but not so good filtering quality.

    Cartridge filters – a mid way alternative on both cost and quality.

    Without one of this filters you will simply be faced with a never ending situation of a regular drain & refill.

  • Reverse osmosis, like a desalinizer. If it’s coming out of your water supply, draining won’t help much. Collect rain water. And stop peeing in it.
