I want to start the potty training but I don’t know how long in between should I wait to take him back to the potty.

Just keep asking him if he needs to go, or if you see any signs that it potty time. and when ever your ready to go to the toilet pop him on as well. A handy trick my mother used was to put a ping pong ball in the toilet/potty (something that floats and wouldn’t flush) it was a game for the boys to try and ‘hit’ it, it made toilet time fun for them and they would attempt to go on there own. Good luck he’ll pick it up soon.
