I see you don’t know much about cars.
If you are running your car with the fuel light on you should not be worried about how much gasoline is left inside the tank but rather how much $$ you will need to replace the fuel pump when it burns up.

I used to drive around with the fuel light on… until I burnt out the fuel pump. If it starts sucking air, it burns out. Same as running your ac without the car running.
