i’m having this issue with an engine swap i’m doing, and they aren’t experts, they just know how to look stuff up on their little computer. when it comes to problem solving skills and creativity to fix issues, it’s over their pay grade. hate to say it, but………. that’s the truth
You need a new temperature sensor. Autozone.com for about 20 bucks.
There is NO way to tell without providing the vehicle information, (Year, Make, Model) and the engine option if possible
NOTE: There are too many different cooling system configurations and a few different things that will cause your symptoms, Unless you want a “Shot in the dark” guess (like you already have)
