Hello. So i have a check up with my hamster at the vets in an hour and I’m just wondering how I can make sure he’s warm as I’m travelling on the bus. It only takes 15-30 minutes but I’m just scared he’ll be cold. Obviously he’ll have bedding inthe box I’m taking him in but I’m just wondering if there’s other things I should do to make sure he’s warm?

Give him a nice layer of bedding and add nesting material, such as shredded up paper, toilet tissue, and/or paper towels. Your hamster will be able to snuggle up in the bedding and nesting material and stay warm.
I would say eighter wrap a sweatshirt around the outside of possibly have the hamster itself well I would put my Syrian in my bra as long as. Know she can stay there for a bit –she won’t have food or water access but she will be warm atleast –but we have to know how she is around dogs as well and that may get tricky (we have 2 cats and 2 parakeets and she is ok) or outher animals if she were to dart (I have never seen her) it could be hard to get her
Holding your cage close to your body and putting shredded paper in there should do the trick.
