I work for an estate agents and we have recently got a Mac and Apple TV. I would like to show the property photos as a slide show but they would need to have a little label on the bottom saying the address and price, can anyone give me a really easy step by step? There are about 9 photos per property so need a fairly quick way of doing it.
Thank you

If it were me, I would script such a feature using ImageMagick or exifTool. A folder with 5 photos would convert in less than 10 minutes. If you must use a mouse-driven approach be prepared to spend hours. So, your best bet may be to google for slideshow programs that claim they can create photo albums.

The most practical idea would be a video. You can do that in iMovie using “Titles”. It also has the option for adding “Ken Burns” effect http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ken_Burns_e… The result can be like this: http://tours.vht.com/Viewer/Video.aspx?L…
If you insist on a photo slideshow…
You need an image editor that can create multiple layers (the original photo is one layer and the text is another).
— Download Seashore.app
— Launch it.
— Open one of the pictures.
— Click the color foreground block at left to change the text color.
— Click at the point where you want to type.
— Select the Text tool and type what you want.
— Click “Add”.
— Click File > Save.
See my example at the last link below.
This is a simple and free app, so don’t expect it to be amazing. For better flexibility, use Gimp or Photoshop. Even with Seashore, I would think you can create a ten-photo slideshow in six to ten minutes after you get the hang of it.
NOTE:
iPhoto cannot create multiple layers, so it is not the tool for this task.
