  • While there are no stage rallies that I know of in New Jersey, I must say that you are rather central to many stage rallies relative to the rest of the country. There are two sanctioning bodies in the USA that run Stage Rallies. Rally America (RA) and Nasa Rally Sport. Start by reading the rule books and understand what class of vehicle and what type of safety equipment is required to do rally and base your budget search on that. You will be required to start off in Group 2 if you choose to run RA events. You can read the rule books here : www.rally-america.com and www.nasarallysport.com. After you’ve read the rule books, go ahead and volunteer at an event. This will help put everything together. Look at the sites calendar section and plan a road trip. There are a few events in New York, Virginia, West Virginia and PA. You can also run some starter events in your domestic car. Find your regional SCCA chapter and drive a rallycross, autocross or TSD rally event. www.scca.org You can look for used rally cars an gear at the following sites:

    www.specialstage.com

    www.rallycarsforsale.net

    www.rallyanarchy.com

    www.rallyclassified.com

Source(s): See you out there. Rally driver.
