  • Everyone (and yes, that includes me) tends to concern themselves with under-powering when other important issues like over-heating enter the mix ESPECIALLY when towing. Keep in mind yours is the smaller of the two engines offered in that model for that year. (The other being the 5.4L)

    Do you already have the trailer? I’d say, hook it up and give it a go for about an hour. Find some hills, and just as importantly, downslopes, to test your engine AND transmission AND brakes.
