i let me goat go dry but her bag was big and when milked was watery can i bring her back into without breeding?

    When you let a goat dry up, usually you don’t milk her for a day or so, and then milk her out some once her udder is hard, then don’t milk until she’s uncomfortable again, etc. Eventually, her body will produce less and less milk, until she reabsorbs any milk she makes.

    If a goat is not milked for a while, the liquid in her udder turns into a salty-watery solution. If you want to try to get her back in milk, milk her every day (twice a day, if you can – that would get her into milk faster). After a week or so, her udder will stop producing the salty liquid and start producing milk again.

    Some people continuously milk their goats for a couple years without breeding – I have one doe in milk who kidded three years ago this month and hasn’t been bred since, but I kept her in milk by milking her every day.
