I am looking for a recipe for a cinnamon roll cake. When I do an online search, cinnamon roll looking cakes pop up. I had a cake made that was an actual 2 layer cake with cinnamon roll pieces in it before with regular icing on top (not cinnamon roll drizzle). I am trying to make something similar for Mother’s Day.

You could just make a layer cake, your flavor choice, from a boxed mix. However, for this type of cake I would stick with a yellow or white cake mix. If you live near a Cinnabon store or store that sells Cinnabon buns, you can just buy some and slice them to put between the cake layers or buy the minis. You can also find Pillsbury cinnabon or regular cinnamon buns in those cardboard rolls in the refrigerated section of your market that you just bake off yourself. You can pick up ready made frosting also.
